Michelle Marney White is a partner in our firm who has been practicing in the area of environmental law and environmental liability and damages litigation defense for more than 10 years, representing clients and facilities in Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas in the chemical manufacturing, petrochemical, pulp and paper, solid and hazardous waste transport and disposal, solution mining, rock mining, and fertilizer manufacturing industries.
Mrs. Marney White has represented clients in permitting, licensing, enforcement, incident investigation, and regulatory implementation disputes before the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Mining Safety and Health Administration, and the U.S. Coast Guard, as well as local government agencies and entities such as levee boards and parish emergency response offices.
Prior to becoming a partner at Taylor Porter, Mrs. Marney White was In-House Counsel at The Dow Chemical Company. As In-House Counsel for Environmental, Health and Safety, she had responsibility for regulatory implementation, permitting, and compliance management for all chemical manufacturing complexes and facilities of Dow and its subsidiaries in Louisiana.

Mrs. Marney White serves on the Louisiana State Bar Association Rules of Professional Conduct Committee, the Council of the LSBA Environmental Law Section, the Board of Directors for Greater Baton Rouge Hope Academy, is a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, and participates in Volunteers in Public Schools and Thirst for Justice. She and her husband, Scott White, reside in south Baton Rouge.
