Robert Coco’s practice covers a broad range of environmental matters. These matters include permitting and compliance for all media: air, water and waste under both federal and state programs. In addition, he has worked in such areas as radiation (NORM and Atomic Energy Act Materials), OSHA Process Safety Management and EPA Chemical Accident Prevention, and site investigations and remediations under the state RECAP program and Federal CERCLA program.
A particular focus remains air permitting and enforcement under both state and federal programs.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Coco worked as an engineer for two major utilities, first as an onsite construction engineer during the development of the Waterford III Nuclear Station and later as a plant systems engineer and reactor engineer at River Bend Nuclear Station.
After serving as staff counsel with the Louisiana Attorney General and with the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Mr. Coco joined the firm of Adams and Reese in Baton Rouge from 1996-2005. Mr. Coco joined Taylor, Porter in April 2005. He is an active member of the Louisiana Society of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Mr. Coco has also been listed in The Best Lawyers in America ®.
