Thomas R. Peak is a partner in the law firm of Taylor Porter, L.L.P. who received his Juris Doctorate from the LSU Law Center in 1984 and joined the firm that same year.  He is admitted to practice before all Louisiana state courts and agencies, the U.S. District Courts for the Middle, Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Peak has handled numerous matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board, United States Department of Labor, OSHA, and Wage Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor, as well as the Louisiana Civil Service Commission.

Mr. Peak has presented seminar topics on labor and employment law, including sexual harassment, discrimination, labor certification, employment eligibility issues and Wage and Hour law for the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the National Business Institute, the Louisiana Chapter of the International Personnel Management Association and at Louisiana State University.  He has authored articles in the Baton Rouge Business Report's Law Journal on subjects including employee privacy issues and employee payment issues.  His practice is concentrated in the areas of Labor and Employment law, Employee Benefits litigation (ERISA and COBRA), Employment Eligibility and Certification (under the Immigration laws) and Workers' Compensation, representing management.
